My son (20) Died while on Spring break in Cancun Mexico on March 22 2005. He was a sophmore at the University of Cincinnati. It was very sudden and so very painful I did not (and sometimes still think that) I would never ever be able to breath again because the pain was too intenese. My sisters found your webspage and felt that one of your bears may help me, so they carefully picked out one of Eric's favorite shirts and sent it to you to make me a bear. When I recieved it I cried into it, I slept with it, I carried it around like a little child and it DID ease my pain somewhat. Now after this much time has passed since that awful Tuesday in March my husband and I decided we could part with 2 or 3 more of Eric's shirts for bears to be made for our daughters. I want Susan and Jen to know that your bear that you made me HELPED ME SO VERY MUCH, and I know it will help my daughters also. THANK YOU for providing such a WONDERFUL service to people in the most horrifying pain of there lives.

I lost my 77 yr. old father in a tragic fall from a ladder on October 5, 2005. My parents have three grandchildren, so I had a bear made for each one of them. These bears are so unique! How beautiful to preserve a memory in the form of a bear dressed in the departed one's clothing. Here is a poem that I wrote to go with my 3 bears: You may think that I am just a bear, But I was stitched with much love and care. If you look close, you will see, Your Pop-Pop's shirt is all over me. We know he is in a much better place. We will always remember his smiling face. We each have our own memories of him, But now without Pop-Pop, life seems grim. So when you feel sad, pickup this bear, And know that with it, Pop-Pop will always be there!

My wife died 4 1/2 months ago so now my 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son have no mom. I had a bear made for each of them out of their mom's favorite shirts. I know they will cherish those bears for the rest of their lives. It even makes me feel good to hug them.

Three years ago, we lost our first born child when she was one month old. One of the few things that belonged to her was a lovely pale green blanket. That precious fabric is now a huggable reminder of our beautiful daughter, our gentle little Hannah. Thank you for making a memory for us that is as sweet as she was.

We lost my 5 year old grandson Bret Smith very suddenly from bacterial meningitis in Jan. 2002. He was my son Joe's only child. A wonderful gentleman I work with came to my desk one day a few months later and handed me a gift certificate from he and his wife for a bittersweet bear for my son Joe. The precious bear you made for Joe is cherished more than you will ever know. It meant so much to him that I later gave a gift certificate to a family in Arkansas who lost their 3 yr. old daughter the same year we lost Bret from the same horrible disease. I just mailed their bear off to them today, and it was just beautiful -- I know little Sydney's Mother will cherish it. Thank you for all you do... holding these bear means so much to those who have lost their loved ones. May God bless you and keep you in his care for the comfort you give them. Gloria Connell
